Avalon Hospice is a place near my grandparents that allows volunteers to come and spend time with the people who live there. I was able to visit over the weekend a few times due to my grandpa's friend being there. It is always rewarding to go and see everyone's face being lit up with excitement when they see volunteers there.

I do this atleast once every semester. One of my teachers is how I discovered this place since I go home alot. I was able to help my small town back home by helping distribute food, organize food, and package it. My parents also were able to donate some food and we helped to prep that as well!
After the food sorting, I was able to join Ashley in distributing the food in the church. We were also able to give some meals for thanksgiving coming up at this church. I always find this to be super rewarding and I enjoy it alot!
I was able to donate blood at a blood drive through one of these locations! It is always super rewarding to donate blood!
I was able to volunteer at this food bank on two separate days over the weekend. I found this place through my highschool and I got close with one of the teachers so I always try to help out when she needs me! I was able to sort food, organize the food, etc to help give to people who need it!
Through the course of a few weeks I was able to give vaccines. This was such a rewarding experience to do through one of courses. It made me feel like I was giving back to the community in such a big way. Covid has sit us hard so it was nice to be able to be apart of something that can help save people's lives.
I volunteered by writing letters to families for St.Jude! The up til dawn program is a great program that helps others and I’m glad I was able to help out!
