At the Martha's Table 14th street location I did one of my favorite shifts, the mini market! I bagged produce, cereal, grains, and canned goods! It was a particularly great shift because so much food was there to give, so many people had donated food after thanksgiving, so there was a lot of special things to give out, like pumpkin puree, stuffing mix, tea, and even baby food. Someone had also donated formula, which proved to be beneficial for one of the market goers.

Volunteering at Martha's Market at the Rita Bright Center was great! We unloaded boxes, and organized and gave out produce!
Food Tidy-up Shift: While I initially did not sign up for this shift, Martha's Table graciously allowed me to stay for the food tidy up shift. There I helped clean the kitchen as the day neared its end. I scrubbed tabled and loaded the trucks for Mckenna's wagon.
The Mini Market was a great experience! My group partner and I were at the Martha's Table 14th street location. There we bagged and distributed produce, grains, and canned goods to DC's food insecure community.
Joyful Food Market (JC Nalle Elementary): Unloaded food boxes, unpacked and divided the fresh produce inside, redistributed the food to the students and their families.
Joyful Food Market (Leckie Education Campus): unloaded, unpacked, and distributed food bags as well as signed families and students in.
Food tidy up shift: Cleaned kitchen at Martha's table NW location. Scrubbed tables, packaged food, and loaded trucks.
