I made a total of 6 t-shirt bags (2 hours of service) for the campus food pantry. I had several t-shirts saved to make a t-shirt quilt out of, but I loved using them to make these projects instead! It means so much more since I know they will be used by students on our campus who are coming to pick up food from the pantry.
This semester, I helped sell the "Thank A Farmer" t-shirts for our philanthropy, Heifer International. In total, I sold around 20 of the shirts to various members of my hometown community. It was so inspiring to see them supporting something I am passionate about and helping my sorority.
I spent the afternoon working with other members of the St. Thomas Aquinas community as we wrote thank you letters for priests in our state diocese. We wanted to make sure they felt appreciated for their service during this global pandemic. In total, we wrote over 100 letters which we are going to mail out to them soon!

I participated in the Lake Fayetteville clean-up day with other members of Sigma Alpha. We walked around the lake picking up litter and garbage that had been tossed aside from the trails. I really enjoyed getting to work togethers with my sisters in order to make a local park look cleaner and more enjoyable for everyone in our community.
I volunteered to help judge the Wild Hog CDE Horse Judging contest. I participated in this event during my high school years in FFA, and was so lucky to be able to continue it going into college. It was awesome to get to see some great friends that I had made so many years ago, and to help young students build their futures in agriculture. I helped place the horse judging classes, helped facilitate the groups of students, and took a set of reasons from the participants.

Today I helped with the FFA Alumni LDE contest at the University of Arkansas. I helped judge the Creed Speaking Contest. It was awesome to get to participate in an event that I did in high school again, and I had so much fun seeing these students being passionate about agriculture, just as my sisters in Sigma Alpha are. We worked the contest from 9:30-12:00 and had a great time!

Today I helped volunteer at the Cattle Show at the Washington County Fairgrounds! I had so much fun working with my Sigma Alpha sisters and helping out the students who were exhibiting their animals there over the weekend. We sold various concessions and worked together to help promote agriculture and our sorority!

I spent the evening sorting through contacts for St. Thomas's annual Phone-a-thon. This required looking through names and addresses and matching them with a referenced phone number. These contacts will be asked to donate for our ministry. It was so much fun getting to work with friends for a good cause!
Today I participated in our annual Ag. Carnival day at Jones Elementary in Springdale. I helped with the face painting and got to speak with the students about their ideas of agriculture, and even shared some really cool fun facts about it's importance in our state and country. I then helped clean up the booths and spent some time with other members of Sigma Alpha. This was my first year attending Ag. Carnival, and I had such a great time getting to inform these kids!
