Another year with my favorite Hilton Head Island volunteer group. Like last year, we looked for unmarked turtle nests, baby sea turtles in distress, trash near shore, trash in the dunes, and trash scattered along the beach to pick up. We also educated people about the sea turtles that nest on Hilton Head Island and why we should stay 6ft apart. It was an amazing experience and a great thing to do on my days off work and sometimes even after work.

In this volunteer group we looked for unmarked turtle nests, baby sea turtles in distress, trash near shore, trash in the dunes, and trash scattered along the beach to pick up. Over three days, I helped restock books and clean up the areas surrounding certain schools.
Students practiced treading water, butterfly kick, and freestyle
We practiced treading water using different kicks and working on arms.
I helped a student review freestyle skills as well as work on breathing while swimming.
I volunteer with this class to teach about 4 students basic swim skills because they do not know how to swim. I teach things like freestyle, backstroke, and treading water.
