Little Friends for Peace (LFFP)

Volunteer Opportunities at Latino Student Fund

This was my second time volunteering for the Latino Student Fund. I was tutoring a 2nd grader and taking care of Pre-K graders. I love seeing how dedicated this organization and its recipients are in this program. Students want to be there to reach their potential and their parents want to do as much as they can to see their children succeed.

I learned about how peace is incorporated in the program such as peace circles, peace pledges, and peace rooms for students to learn how to face a problem peacefully.

I was tutoring a 1st grader with math and reading as well as taking care of children in Pre-K. I am happy to volunteer at the Latino Student Fund as I received similar services as a child back in El Paso, Texas and I want to continue creating an impact in education among the Latino community.
