I have participated in this volunteering every year since starting school at the University of Texas at Austin. As always, it was very fun and I enjoyed getting out into the Austin community. For most of the time I worked the popcorn booth and served the students and their parents both drinks and popcorn for the entire event.

I did this volunteering event with the Longhorn Pre-Pharmacy Association. It was nice to give back to the school and attempt to have a positive impact on our school. The goal of the experience was to cut down on the amount of energy being used by the school by turning off any electronics that were not being used.
I worked with my pharmacy organization with school at a location downtown. We helped set up for the half-marathon and marathon that were taking place the next day. We wrapped up all of the pay to park machines so that people would not try to park in those areas since those streets were going to be used for the race. All in all, it was a fun experience.
I did tabling for my organization at school in order to raise awareness for the group and hopefully gain more members. Overall, it was a fun experience and was nice to work with others within the same group.

I worked the Brentwood Elementary halloween Carnival. I worked the bucket toss the entire time. It was really fun to again interact with families that live in the Austin community!
We volunteered at the cap10k run in Austin. I met so many interesting and healthy individuals that were apart of the Austin community.
We worked in a community Thanksgiving dinner! It was just as fun as last years event in fact I think it was a lot more fun and filled with more people than last year. It was as always a fun experience to work with that particular organization.
This volunteering event was for the Susan G. Komen walk. We were there to cheer on runners at the finish line with signs that were made by the organization. It was a very fun experience and I had a good time with the Austin Community.
I volunteered for the Brentwood Elementary School Halloween carnival. It was really fun to enjoy such a lighthearted atmosphere for the upcoming holiday. I ended up serving drinks for most of the time but overall the experience was just as fun as last year. It was a fun and comfortable environment for a UT student since so many of us were!
