Throughout this 3-day experience I functioned as a host in the 2019 Claflin University Honor Band Clinic. My job and occupation was to mentor younger(high school and middle school-aged) students that were in attendance. The students were to audition, be graded, and given chair placements and were placed in a band. I helped judge, as well as was a member of the "Stage crew" whom individuals were responsible for making sure all instruments, chairs and stands were prepared in advance for the younger students to use. I also performed with the middle school and served as a mentor to the middle school clarinet players, playing along with them as well as teaching and coaching the young individuals in our sectional time, in which I helped lead.

My experience performing on the homecoming float on homecoming morning was a very gratifying experience. Alongside a couple of my best friends and musicians we performed musical entertainment on the float playing styles including: RnB, blues, jazz, rock, and alternative styles. This experience was very fulfilling as I got to see the audience enjoying our hard work and really catching a feel for and cherishing the sounds my musical group produced.
