I did another breakfast shift at Miriam's Kitchen and it was very rewarding. Seeing people first thing in the morning can be hard especially if you spent the previous night sleeping on the street, but everyone who passes through breakfast this morning was lovely and kind.

I prepped and served breakfast to homeless peoples visiting Miriam's Kitchen from 6:15 to 8:15am. I meet some cool people and really enjoyed helping people out and learning how the kitchen works. I am excited to volunteer again.
I volunteering at the Alexandria Courthouse Farmers Market. I passed out hot cider and collected donations for the Thanksgiving food drive. I also helped cleanup and give out SNAP tickets. I loved meeting other volunteers and employees and the chance to be at the market for a few hours!
I volunteering at the Dupont Farmers Market raising money for the Thanksgiving Food Drive. It was a rainy day, but we were still able to heat up some apple cider and hand it out while raising money and spreading awareness! It was a great morning and I look forward to doing it again soon.
very informative
I really enjoyed my service. We spent the afternoon cleaning up trash from the shoreline around the marina we sail out of. This was impactful because it was a place we go to everyday and it felt good to improve it and give back to the land.
