Over Easter weekend, I served in the childcare department at my church at home. I got to watch the two-year-olds and play with them while their parents attended the church service! My mom regularly serves in childcare and I volunteered for Easter weekend because I knew there would be more people than normal!
I helped set up for the Bachelor sisterhood! Also learned how to use a popcorn machine!
I heard about the K Club for promoting random acts of kindness at Zeta Day and became a member!
I wrote notes to my friends in another sorority to promote love and support throughout Greek Life!
I passed out ribbons and posters before the game and watched the game!
I went to Friend's Place which is a daycare that allows those with Alzheimer's Disease to come for the day and do activities to allow their spouse or caretaker to have a break in the day. My grandfather has Alzheimer's so he attends this place regularly and on Tuesday (11/26) they hosted a Thanksgiving lunch and I helped serve the members and their families. I got to pass out food as well as clean up and interact with the members. I had a great time getting to know some of my grandfather's friends when he comes to this place for the day!
I got to make car packages for soldiers over seas!
I helped clean up the service sisterhood!
I got to stand outside of the Union and pass out Think Pink Ribbon in honor of Zeta's philanthropy, Breast Cancer Awareness and Education! I loved seeing how engaged other students were in receiving these ribbons and supporting Zeta!
