    Sustainable Textile Program

Today went well despite the fact that we had less participants than yesterday. While we had less people come through our space, we still had a significant amount of clothing brought in for donation. Additionally, we were still able to have meaningful conversations with them regarding our project and the importance of a sustainable approach to post-consumer textile waste. We were able to effectively track each piece of clothing that came in and we're excited to tell a story behind our findings.

This was our first clothing swap event that we hosted. It was a really successful event and it was great to see the residents of South Hall so excited to participate. I think the fact that our target demographic for this event was seniors nearing graduation, a lot of them had clothes they have been wanting to get rid of but were waiting until move-out. It was also interesting to note how a lot of people wanted to give away their clothes but did not want to take any of the clothing that was previously donated in return. Overall, this was a great event and I'm excited for our future events.
