social distancing :(
We discussed further the presentation from the evening before and the impact of the pandemic on faculty, staff, students, the underprivileged. We also said our farewells.
The presentation was wonderful and I enjoyed interacting with people outside of the office. Although the fraternity is coed, there were no guys there. They could've gotten something out of the presentation as well which is unfortunate.
We brainstormed how to make the new OAS space inviting to students which ended up being a lot of fun. One of the directors also spoke to us about exactly what she does day to day which was informative.
Having the one-on-one time with Rebecca to reflect and keep on task with goals was super insightful. I learned more about opportunities at GW.
I enjoyed hearing from our guest speaker, Christina, from the Title IX office. She was very informative and passionate which made the experience educational.
Cannot wait to reach out to the clubs/orgs we have identified!
I had a great time learning about the division and OAS. My advisers really emphasized the experience being a two-way street which is highly appreciated. No volunteer wants to feel like they got nothing out of the experience.
