I helped at the Capital Area Food Bank by inspecting food items and ensuring that they met the requirements for them to be distributed to the Austin community. These were then sorted into different categories and placed in boxes in order for them to be distributed.

I helped sort and inspect food items in order to determine if they would be eligible to be handed out to families in the central Texas area. We inspected food items in order to know if the were not expired or had been opened. Food inspected during shift was over 1,000 pounds and it would provide about 1,000 meals for families of central Texas.
Helped sort and box non-food items in order to have them distributed to families of the central Texas area. I helped sort through household items, personal care items, and outdoor household items as well. After sorting items into bins, I helped place the items in boxes and placed them in packs in order to have them ready to ship out.
I helped sort through food items in order to be able to determine whether the food was good to be processed and delivered to the Austin community. We helped sort the food into boxes in order to have them sent out in an orderly fashion. A couple of thousand pounds of food were sorted, providing over a thousand meals for people in the central Texas community.
I aided the Capital Area Food Bank of Texas by sorting through several items of food and beverages. We then packaged them into boxes and set them up on pallets so that they would be ready for distribution. Several other individuals and myself were able to sort through over 1,000 lbs of food.
Austin Trail of Lights Fun Run
We helped with the Fun Run by helping at the "front desk" and help with packet pick up and registration for all the individuals participating in the Fun Run.
I was able to help people that were walking the trail by guiding them towards wherever they asked me they wanted to go. I was also able to meet so many people from around the community that were helping as well with the Trail of Lights.
