Friends and I drove to San Antonio to help set up, organize, and run the annual KAG life color run. This color run benefited lung cancer patients and raise money for cancer research. We got their at 7 am and set up things such as the ticket booth, each color station, and water stations. Then we worked at selling tickets, directing people where they needed to go, and asking for donation as well as setting up games for the children. It was a different kind of volunteering than I am used to, most of my volunteering has been direct, feeding the homeless, taking care of a garden etc. This was more indirect volunteering, raising money for lung cancer, because in that field thats all I can do for cancer patients. It was a great experience being able to see community service in a different mind set than mine.
