Participated in Longhorn Engineering. Set up and conducted a civil engineering experiment in preparation for the event. The experiment was to create a system to move water into two separate cups. Enjoyed working with future students and talking to them about the importance of civil engineering and what they can expect from an engineering degree/career.

Taught young girls about the possibilities of a STEM major/career and did an activity to demonstrate the engineering process.
Worked with a group, as part of Engineering Ambassadors, to create a presentation and activity for students at Explore Engineering Day hosted by Women in Engineering Program. The day consisted of set up, an hour presentation and activity, and two hours where students could go around to do different activities.
I enjoyed setting up for the casino night of the SWE regional conference. As a volunteer, I put up signs, organized gifts and assured the table arrangement was properly placed.
I was able to assist corporate recruiters by handing them water or snacks, networking with them in a more casual setting.
I enjoyed working with the students of TAME and learning about the organization. I most enjoyed answering the questions of students during the student panel.
It was a great experience that helped me learn more about this wonderful Austin tradition! I helped maintain order at the event by guiding the crowds and protecting the displays from any horseplay.
I enjoyed working with other students from UT and citizens of Austin to create a cleaner and more manageable trail for park goers. We all worked in teams to clear rocks from pathways and carry them to where rocks were needed or better situated.
This experience allowed me to attend my first EXPO in a more relaxed setting where I was able to meet recruiters and help them set up their stations at the event. I helped carry in their materials and greeted them at the door.
