Join Austin Parks Foundation and <a href="https://siglogroup.com/" target="_blank">Siglo Group</a> as we lead a 8 week skill building accelerator for neighbors and park lovers at Barton Creek Greenbelt! We will continue restoration efforts managing invasive species and trails to support native plants and animals while creating a better park experience. This is an opportunity to learn more about Central Texas ecology, build restoration skills, and leave a lasting impact on Barton Creek! You'll leave this course with the knowledge and ability to continue this work with APF and help facilitate future volunteer events.&nbsp;
Volunteer will learn to manage:
<ul>
<li>Invasive Species Removal</li>
<li>Trail Construction</li>
<li>Erosion Concerns</li>
<li>Native Seed Collection/Planting</li>
</ul>
Volunteers will utilize <a href="https://www.naturesteward.com/" target="_blank">Nature Steward </a>as an educational guide and resource for this course.
What to Bring
<ul>

Plenty of drinking water and fluids to stay hydrated throughout the day.&nbsp;Electrolyte beverages and snacks encouraged!

<li aria-level="1">
Please wear comfortable, weather-appropriate gear for wooded natural areas and uneven terrain.

Wear sturdy, closed-toed shoes.
</li>
<li aria-level="2">
Recommend wearing long clothing and pants with ankle coverage for protection.
</li>
<li aria-level="2">
Recommend sun and bug protection - don't forget your hat, bug spray and sunscreen!

Parking :&nbsp;There is on-site parking available throughout the park.
Accessibility:&nbsp;Please note that our activity for the day will involve walking on uneven terrain, slopes and potentially wet/muddy surfaces.&nbsp;
