I hope this works as smoothly for the whole rest of the event as it did for me today. Yes, I had a light order to pick up, but we would have had plenty of time to load even a heavy order. Good job, folks!

Great meeting. Very helpful, guys! Great contributions from several attendees, too.
Thanks, Jeremy, Sam, and everyone! I can’t believe how much we managed to accomplish in just 2.5 hours!
Made some connections with other adopters and city staff that I hope will be mutually beneficial.
The project area is ready for It's My Park Day, and we knocked out a few more ligustrums—big ligustrums!—in the grove nearest the trailhead. There is still a lot to be done in that area, but we are getting to the point that it looks like a patch of native woods, not a thicket of nothing but ligustrum.
The volunteers from Connally High School, Keep Walnut Creek Wild, and other groups did a fantastic job uprooting and girdling ligustrums in the wetland above Rock Bridge while I took a reporter on a tour of other projects we had completed in the park. I was amazed when I returned to discover how much ligustrum had been removed.
Great work scoping out projects for the next weekend.
