Great Time helping with the take down of the Dia De Los Muertos Festival. Helped take down tables, chairs, remove banners, and help take down the stage.
Mulched new trails all around the park.
Was very fun and ordered while building the trails but when we had to use up the rest of the mulch it was a little disorganized.
Went and worked at the UT microfarm with Texas Hammocking. We cleared one of the summer garden beds, moving rocks, weeding, and shoveling dirt. The volunteering was from 9am-11am. It was fun to get back to our roots and garden a bit; it was a nice break from all the studying.
Volunteered at the CNS career fair helping businesses set up their booths as well as helping sign students into the fair. It was a lot of fun seeing and talking to all of the students coming in as well as meeting other volunteers who are helping out.
Volunteered at National Public Lands Day with the Texas Hammocking Club. We worked at Boggy Creek mulching trees and picking up trash.
Volunteered at VIVA! Streets with Gamma Beta Phi. We helped with cleaning up the festival like taking down tents and stands as well as move stage pieces and chairs back into storage.
I went out to Circle Acres and volunteered for Ecology Action a non profit dedicated to recycling and conservation. Out there we picked up trash from the former land fill area and re-mulched the trails to make sure they're maintained properly. I went out there with my friend Adan.
After the Longhorn Run I went and volunteered for Clean Sweep at Peace Park. I volunteered with my CNS 101 group and we went out to make peace park look nicer. We helped pick up trash, fertilize trees, and rake the mulch around trees to make them look neat. It was fun hanging out with friends and cleaning up the park.
