About
East Austin's first park for the Mexican American community, Parque Zaragoza Neighborhood Park, is now celebrating its 90th year of giving local residents a greenspace to enjoy.
Join us for It's My Park Day Fall on November 2nd at Parque Zaragoza as we give back to our park's heritage oak trees that have provided both homes to urban wildlife and shade to East Austin families for generations. Also help us recognize and welcome our park's 60+ newly planted baby trees of 30 varying species.
We will mulch all heritage and new trees in the park as well as carry out a park clean up. Additionally, to welcome our new baby trees, we are looking for younger volunteers to adopt a tree and help make ecofriendly tree species signage for future walking tours.

There will be activities for all ages! Please watch this short but informative Grow Green mulching video in advance https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tLdbdQ9fVZE
Also check out Zaragoza's New Diversity Grove Activities web page that provides information about all 31 newly planted tree species. http://www.zaragozaparkneighborhoodassn.org/zaragozas-new-grove-activities.html
